Ostekaelderen
cheese from the vaults
this cheese shop has been in business since 1888, which makes it the oldest and all
of Denmark. The owner, Mr. Krause, has worked there for 30 years himself, and
therefore she knows a thing or two about cheese. He also knows how to move with the
times, and the shop now specializes in organic and low-fat cheeses.Ostekelderen also
stalks a small range of wines, and naturally, the cheese seller can tell you exactly
which wine goes with which cheese. You can also buy bread, ham, and sausage here,
to go along with cheese. Don't be afraid to ask to sample the local Danish
specialties.
Dan Turrell's Beat Bar
back in the 80s, the poet and author Dan turrell combed the streets of Copenhagen.
This café in the city center was named after him, and dedication of his expressive,
beat inspired lifestyle. The walls of the bar are lined with 45 covers of turell's
box. Although he died of cancer in 1993 at the young age of 47, Dan turrell is
still hugely popular among people aged between 20 and 30. They don't come here
alone, like the author did, but in groups of young and highly vocal people.
A.C perchs thehandel
old-fashioned tea
the tea shop, established in 1835, is the oldest in Europe. For four generation,
Hincheldey family has sold the quality tea and she products to the local clientele.
This is the place to come for teapots, teaspoons, and she stringers. The store
looks just the way, I must the day it opened, and the older coppers scales are still
in use. It's worth coming here for the smells alone: they stock more than a hundred
different teams from all over the world. Try the house classic or, for the more
adventurous, the licorice tea. or the Bailey's cream tea. Nowadays, the shop even
has a website with a mail order service.
Andy's bar.
The last stop.
The deep red walls and curtains in this bar have been through it all. Until it was
given its present name by American soldiers returning from Germany just after World
War II, Andy's bar was a posh restaurant. The soldiers adopted the restaurant has
their own, became their favorite spot, and they dubbed the Andy's bar. Nowadays,
the bar is the final stop on the so-called route of death, a notorious bar crawl
through the city center. You will run into plenty of journalists and editors year,
as the doors opened when the presses start rolling the last call at Andy's isn't
until six in the morning.
Bo bi bar.
Booze and poets
Bo bi bar is Copenhagen's oldest bar, named after a sailors dog. This sailor
brought the bar counter over himself from New York and rebuilt its year right after
the first world war. These date, the cream of Danish writers frequents the bar.
However, for every genuine published author you meet here, you'll find a lease five
to 10 wannabes. It's not easy to get an established writer to talk about his work,
they'll notice the unpublished ones are all too eager! This bar served as the
inspiration for the movie deb bla munk, which deals with more or less the same
theme: a blend of winners and losers
Bann chiang thai restaurant
going thai
whether you eat fish, chicken, duck, or beef at bann chiang thai restaurant, it
feels just like being there in the Far East. The restaurant is very neat and tidy,
and the atmosphere is pleasant. An excellent place to eat and drink. The main
courses are inexpensive and glitches. We can fully recommend the four course menu.
Be sure to book a table in advance.
Nanna brink
fabrics and design.
This little clothing shop is full of unique designs, and it's quite original and
unusual. Dresses are Nanna Brinks specialty, and the racks are stuffed with long,
and short, colorful, white, inventive, and classical dresses: not only everyday
dresses, but also plenty for special occasions. Should you receive an unexpected
invitation to a gala event during your stay in Copenhagen, you will certainly find
something appropriate here
Christina's coffee Company
Dark brews
Attn: coffee addicts: don't pass Christina's coffee Company by. It would be
impossible to anyway: you be able to smell the aroma of coffee from all over the
world well you're just walking down the street. Give in to it, as sample a special
Christina brew or reading the paper. What if it's summer, and you'd rather sit
outside with something cooler? A smoothie with melon or strawberry ought to do the
trick. Of course, you can also buy coffee to take home with you.
Il ristorante
La cucina magnifica
small and narrow, full of satisfied diners... this may well be the best Italian
restaurant in Copenhagen. A friendly waiters are happy to discuss the splendid
dishes in fine detail, and enthusiastically disclosing the preparations and
ingredients that go into them. Sometimes, they get so excited that they offer you
samples and exotic stuffed fig, for example, just to impress you. Whatever it's
made out of, it goes down like a dream. Inouye was a was a little-known
in an in law hardware.
For the modern man
hardware is a very fancy boutique for men. Owners Jeffrey Rodriguez and Renée
Larson are so committed to getting the newest of the new in Copenhagen common. They
regularly set off for Italy to catch up on the latest trends in stock up. They
return with the most remarkable clothes for the modern, fashionable, self-assured
man: for coats, decorated shirts and pants, tool belts, and using knitted sweaters
in kitschy colors. All as well as such extravagances, hardware also stalks a more
classical range of menswear and shoes, colorful sunglasses and blue mannequins in
the window.
Etc..
Cocktails and cuisine.
This restaurant has its own cocktail bar, you can visit while waiting for your food,
and you can sink into the soft sofas with Persian Christians once you finish your
meal. The idea behind etc. is to let all guests enjoy all of the aspects of eating
and drinking to the fullest. They don't have an à la cart menu, which means you
have to order a two course meal. The special thing about all of this is that your
food is brought you a plate for two people.
Den Tatoverede Enke
the tattooed widow.
No one knows how this Belgian bar got a serious name. However, everyone in town
knows how impressive the food and the formidable beer list are. Order the Bacchus
beer menu, in which every course comes accompanied by a specialty beer to complement
the ingredients. The waitresses know all there is to know as far as food and drink
are concerned, and they'll gladly described in intimate detail the mushroom ragout
with lefe beer or the red and white fish with black past pimento coulis, and candied
vegetables for dessert, you really should try the poached pears with cherry beer and
caramel sauce. The kitchen is closed on Mondays.
Den lillie fede
the little fat one.
The courtyard is frequented mainly by under 35, who died in good restaurants, train
at the gym, and dance in the nightclubs. Places change owner and image quickly
around here, so this is a great place to check out the latest fashions and feel of
throbbing pulse of Copenhagen. Den lille fede gets good reviews, and the five course
menu in particular is known for its value for money. The restaurant shop is open
every weekday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. And sells all manner of delicacies to take
home.
 |
The bargain zone.
Every now and then the owners of embargo tribe all the way down to the LAN to load
up their car with clothes. They buy up large quantities of leftover stock and items
with a small defect in Italy, and they drive back to Copenhagen, where they
replenish the racks in their store. Bargain hunters should not miss this place.
Gucci, John Paul Gauthier, Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren: they're all here and
have a much more agreeable price than in your average designer store.
Restaurant Olsen.
But is it Danish?
The interior of this elegant restaurant may seem a little ordinary in comparison
with the quality of the food, not to mention the price you pay for it. The
restaurant purports to serve modern Danish cuisine. However, the dishes on the
menu, for instance, the deep-fried, meuniere placie fillet, don't really sound all
that Danish. The food is delicious, but if you're really hungry, you should eat
elsewhere, as it is a little too easy to confuse your starter with your main course
here
Copenhagen Admiral Hotel.
A night in a warehouse.
The beautifully looked after building from 1780, has the same rustic appeal as the
poor buildings in this area. The combination of Danish architecture and art make
this hotel one of Copenhagen's most interesting buildings in terms of design. Ask
for a room with a waterfront view when you book, so you can walk to the huge cruise
ships sailing in and out of the port.
Sophie Amalie Hotel.
A regal experience.
Situated between the king of hotels, d Angleterre, and the Queen of Danish castles,
Amalienborg, this four-star hotel does indeed offer a regal experience. It is named
after Queen Sophie Amalie 1658 to 1685, who refused to leave the city following the
Swedish conquest and has been spotted on more than one occasion urging Danish
soldiers to mount in the old forts of Copenhagen. Sophie Amalie was famous for her
charm and her grand hospitality, and that's why the hotel was named after her.
Clarion Hotel Neptune
luxury and tradition.
Clarion Hotel neptun has been around for longer than 100 years, which makes it one
of the oldest hotels in Denmark. The Danish Hotel guide gives it four stars, and
it's a little bit on the exclusive side. Even so, competition is tough with the
other hotels in this district. What gives this hotel at the edge is the excellent
Gendarmen restaurant, situated next door. It's connected to the hotel by a special
passageway and specializes in traditional cuisine from various regions of Denmark.
A different region is in the spotlight each week.
Restaurant Bali
Indonesian delights.
The best way to fully enjoy the finest Indonesian food is, of course, to order one
of the delicious rice tables. This way you get a little bit of everything, and you
get always guaranteed a surprise or two. The exotic fried banana in coconut roles
with peanut sauce never fail to impress. All in all, with its dusty atmosphere,
dark wood in the core, aquarium full of fish, and sloping floor, you can almost be
forgiven for thinking you were in a bamboo cotton bali.
Fogal.
holes in your socks?
This little shop has a soft to suit every foot for every occasion. At any rate,
there to standard models are always in stock in a range of 80 colors. Furthermore,

Hotel d angleterre
a Danish fairy tale
this posh hotel is truly a place for for princes and princesses. D Angleterre is the

the Kingdom of Denmark. Once inside the massive building, you can take advantage of

Café Europa.
For weary feet and thirsty gullets
this veteran of the late 80s is still popular with young Copenhagen. Café Europa is
somewhat less formal than the imposing Café Norden across the street, and is a great
place to take a break from hours of shopping. If you are tired, you won't have to
go for: Café Europa is right in front of you on the busiest corner of the Stroget
shopping street. They have the latest newspapers to inform and entertain you, while
consuming your coffee and danish pastry. For those with a real appetite, Café
Europa also has a bar menu with bread rolls and light meals.
Sostrene Grene
Far East and very cheap
Sostrene Grene buys large stalks of goods from the Far East, including enormous
arrays of candles, herbs, cushions, boxes, plates and all sorts of pretty stuff you
never even knew existed. The quality of the products varies greatly, but not
attractive prices and cozy atmosphere in this maze make you want to buy everything.
The Grene sisters already thought of that, and they hung a sign with the warning,
remember, you should only buy things you need! It might, however, proved difficult
to follow their friendly advice.
Pasta basta
get your noodle fix
past is not a modern phenomenon. In fact, it was invented as far back as 4000 B.C.
in Mesopotamia. This popular dough product is the ingredient upon which all of
pasta basta does dishes are based. The recipes take their inspiration from both the
European and Asian traditions, and the actual past is made from the finest durum
wheat, eggs, and olive oil. You can choose from a broad selection of past is,
vegetables, and salads at the cold pasta bar and combine them with one of the tasty
dishes from the à la carte menu. Pasta Basta is also a godsend for hungry night
owls: it's as if the kitchen never closes.
Kafe kys
where everybody knows your name.
Despite its romantic moniker, translating to Café chess, this isn't really the ideal
place to go on a first date. It's more the kind of place to meet up with friends,
since it's one of those bars with a large group of regulars who all seem to know
each other. Kafe kys has your classic bar atmosphere: the cappuccino machine makes a
tremendous day and, cops rattle against each other, delicious bread rolls are
available, and there is the constant bustle of people who just talk and talk and
talk.
Gammel Strand Ollgar
beer, beer, beer... and wine
if you've already tried the two most popular beers in Copenhagen, Carlsberg and
turborg, it's time you visited Richard from Hanson's alternative beer universe. He
stalks 250 different beers, mostly foreign, but also including a couple of genuine
old Danish brews. The majority of his customers are young folk and business types
dropping by to pick up some exotic beer for the weekend. At gammel strand ollager
they have it all, from Cherry and apricot beer to alcohol free beer. And yes...
they also sell wine.
La Fontaine
jazz it up
on Sunday nights, the temperature rises considerably in Lafontaine. This is when
the local jazz musicians will the jam session, and countless music lovers flood the
bar to enjoy the music and a cold beer. The quality varies from night to night.
Some of the bands are pretty average, although now and again they included true
virtuoso. A lot of young and upcoming jazz artists get their first shot at fame
here, and happy hours unti 11.
Lust
surprise your senses
despite the name in the products sold here (erotic items), this friendly and
harmonious store has nothing in common with its vulgar contemporaries in Copenhagen
sex street istedgade. Lust has a delightful aroma of flowers and incense. This
three-story shop houses erotic and pornographic books and videos, lingerie, body
paint, a romantic massage oils, and condoms. Customers are invited to informal
readings on lust related topics every first Thursday of the month.
Boghallen, Politikens Hus
books, books, and books

extensive collection contains both the original and translated literature. In
particular, though, they stock a lot of nonfiction: from books on politics and
history to art and hobby books. The travel literature section is huge. Of course,
they also sell regular Danish books, if you can make any sense of them!
House of souls.
Little New Orleans.
Florence Griffith Joyner, the eccentric sprinter from the deep South, who passed
away prematurely, is the figurehead of this Cajun restaurant in the heart of
Copenhagen, and her portrait adorns the walls and menus. You might want to order
the following: a thick seafood soup to start off continuing with black catfish and
Creole rights, papaya, and passion fruit salad as your main course. Try the coconut
ice cream for dessert, with fruit steeped in rum. The chef hails from Barbados, and
really knows how to prepare Cajun food, so you know you're safe in his able hands.
To find a funky cocktail bar in the basement.
Notre Dame.
Sublime kitchen gear.
Notre Dame is the place to head for if you're looking for a present for her cooking
enthusiasts. And, if your own kitchen needs brightening, you should come here for
that little bit extra. Notre Dame stocks everything and more in terms of Italian
and British earthenware, all sorts of stainless steel accessories, and plenty you
can't even begin to imagine. You can also buy normal things, such as table cloths,
fridge magnets, and tea towels.
Conrad and Bianca
cool gear for kids
kids clothes like you've ne
er seen before: trendy, fancy, original, futuristic, kitsch, chic, cool, and smart.
Any attitude, you might use to describe adult and teenager clothing applies equally
to the miniature clothing, which is meticulously displayed in the store. How about
a spacey Formula One outfit with real badges? All you need now is the car...
Epidemi
Young Street where
Farhad and Saied are two brothers who also designed clothing together. Although
they haven't officially been to design school, they do create all of the hip street
wear and clubwear on sale in the epidemic. Most of what is on show in this basement
is aimed at the mail section of the population, although ladies will also find the
sneakers and unisex T-shirt.
L Education Nationale
French cuisine
you will be amazed at how the food is here, if only for the fact that the interior
design and noise level resemble a restaurant at a train station. If you share a
table with more than one other person, it's quite likely that the food will be
served on a mixture of claims. It's a bit like being at home: you get whatever is
put in front of you. The prices aren't quite as low as at the train station, but
the food is worthy. You should definitely try the mussels. Almost all of the chefs
working in Copenhagen's reputable French restaurants have concreted their training
at leducation, which is all you really need to know.
Atlas bar
taste the world
the atlas bar attracts both the true globetrotter's and people who dream of
traveling the world. At any rate, you can sample specialties from around the world
here, among them. Manila chicken. Walking past the restaurant, you can catch a
peek into the kitchen through a basement window. Careful though: there's a strong
chance that you won't be able to resist going in to eat, since the food smells
delicious. Plus you get plenty of it! The place actually looks like a cross
between a travel agency and a jungle, with all of its maps, globes, and Yucca Palms.
Sometimes, they also have photographic exhibitions with pictures from all over the
world
Café chitchat.
Delectable pastries.
The black-and-white interior of this café cum brasserie provides it with a simple,
yet elegant ambience. Regulars speak highly of the pastries served here, and the
two classics are the knot and Caravelle pastry and the chocolate and pear pastry.
However, the roles and the big brunch are also popular orders at chitchat. There's
a 10% discount on main courses on Mondays and Wednesdays, which are less busy.
Paludean boger
miles of books
it's not easy to miss Paluden Boger: the whole sidewalk in front of the store is
filled with racks of cheap box. Inside, you'll find stack upon stack of our books,
books on religion, philosophy, and linguistic works. Even the walls of the newly
opened bar are covered with books. You're bound to find something your heart
desires. Apart from eating and drinking on the ground floor, you can also check out
the latest titles and, of course, buy them.
Den Kinesiske Butik
all things Chinese
this Chinese store or stalks anything and everything Chinese: nice, lamps, velvet
shoes, decorated pauses, silk cloths, chopsticks, woks, baskets, calligraphy pens,
and porcelain plates. In fact, there are so many products that the story is divided
into two sections, one on each side of the street. You can learn a lot from the
book sold here, if you believe titles like the Mystery of internal life.
Hotel Alexandra.
Kick the habit.
You'll find the charming, relatively small Hotel Alexandra near Radhuspladsen, in
the city center. The hotel was built in 1910, and the special thing about it is
that it has complete non-smoking floors! The rooms are fitted with all of the
standard Hotel facilities: Bath, toilet, telephone, radio, and TV. In addition, all
have a hair dryer, and Iran, and a coffee or tea making facilities. Prices include
breakfast.
Hotel Imperial.
Imperial Garden.
The Hotel Imperial has plenty of regulars. The walls are adorned with great modern
Art, although that's not the main reason for coming here. The restaurant, Imperial
Garden, is one of the most exclusive in Copenhagen, and it really seems like you're
dining in a garden: lots of foliage, a glass roof that opens in the summer, a
fountain, and the piano. The hotel cellars house a butcher shop, a bakery, and a
patisserie.
Radisson SAS Royal Hotel.
In the clouds.
This hotel was the first of many in the worldwide Radisson SAS chain. It was
designed in 1960 by Arne Jakobsen. He's responsible for every detail of the
interior, including the famous egg chair, designed especially for the hotel. Suite
606 still looks exactly the same as when it was designed back then. Compared with
the rest of Copenhagen, the Radisson SAS is a skyscraper or as close as it gets. At
any rate, the view of the city is spectacular.
Grand Hotel.
A bona fide classic.
Every major city has a hotel or restaurant that goes by the name of grand, and
Copenhagen is no exception. In terms of luxury, the Copenhagen grand doesn't fall
short of its international siblings. The façade of the hotel has been maintained in
its original state, so you can still marvel at the decorations dating from 1890. Of
course, you can also just have a meal in a restaurant or a drink at the bar.
First hotel vesterbro
ladies first.
First hotel vesterbro is situated right in the middle of everything. On one side of
the hotel is vesterbro with its many restaurants and bars, while on the other we
find the center with its countless shops. The hotel was built in 1999, which makes
it the newest in Copenhagen. The rooms are large and elegant, but the first lady
rooms are the best: rooms furnished especially for female travelers, complete with
women's magazines and skincare products.
Bistrot Bacchus
Wine cellar
this intimate wine bar and brassiere is the place to be for a genuine wine drinking
experience, as bistrot bacchus stocks more than 400 different wines. The snacks are
great to: tasty foie gras, glistening olives, juicy sausages, and authentic French
cheeses. You wouldn't think so after reading this, but only light meals are served,
as this place is all about wine.
Metropol Hotel
lively, yet relaxed.
That the Metropol Hotel is a likely place to stay is an understatement! Lots of
young folks plump for this hotel, which is also occupied by a fair number of people
working temporarily in Copenhagen. You can get a cheap room with shared bathroom or
a posher one with Jacuzzi! The ground floor houses the Leslie nightclub, which is a
fairly unsavory strip bar. But make sure your room isn't directly above if you want
a decent nights sleep. Never a dull moment!
Café Andre Citroen
on the back seat
surprisingly enough, the interior of Café Andre Citroen is made up to look like a
car! The bar is made of aluminum, with black rubber and red leather chairs.
Happily, though, the bar offers a bit more space in the back seat of a Citroen.
They serve excellent breakfasts and lunches, and it's a great place to dine in the
evening. Friday and Saturday are dance nights at Andre Citroen. With a nice
cocktail in your hand and a good DJ behind the decks, a good time is guaranteed for
all
ler and Co.ceramics and secondhand
Victoria Barking and Camilla justesen are the two self-made women behind a small,
yet well-stocked shop. They make all their own indestructible, unique, and elegant
earthenware: sushi plates, vases, dishes, and ceramic figures. They also stalks
secondhand kitchen equipment from the 70s: items fashioned from steel teak, and
plastic. Lots of browns and oranges, and the nose still decode reading lamps are
great. Prices are reasonable, too, which is quite unusual for Copenhagen.
The Fishermen.
Sushi and sandwiches.
The fisherman himself used to be both a chef and a butcher. Nowadays, he concerns
himself with the preparation of delicacies like fresh sushi, homemade pate
sandwiches with seafood and fried lobster tail. All of these things are temptingly
displayed in the window: so tempting, in fact, that you just have to go in! Locals
also often drop by to pick up a tasty snack to take home with them. The delicacies
can also be enjoyed while sitting at one of the four seats in the shop.
Karl Smart.
Suits for showoffs.
The Danish expression and Karl Smart is used for people who start about in a macho
fashion. The name of the shop is therefore ironic, and the seeds here are anything
but dull! Karl Smart's men wear collection is impressive. Some of the brands
you'll find here include Dico s. Oliver and French connection. Karl Smart also sells
freeware and footwear, from sneakers to leather shoes.
Café Vigo
Café Vigo as the rural ambience of a French village. The chefs are French, the
waiters are French, and the guests are French. The latter may have something to do
with the fact that the Lycee francais, where the Danish Prince Henrik went to
school, is situated in the cafés back yard. The service is very friendly, and if
you hang around at the bar long enough, you can count on a chat with the barman.
Von gegerfelt
Grimaces
this little store looks pretty normal from the outside. It didn't be interior is
like a different world, though: a world of fantasy. The walls are adorned with
gaudy weightings, and the quantity of face paint is overwhelming. Scary Freddy
Krueger type masks stare at you wherever you look. Luckily, the expert behind the
counter has plenty of experience in theatrical makeup and is a great help in
choosing from the variety of products.
African jungle city shop
me Tarzan, you Jane
welcome to the jungle. Welcome to Africa. This is the message on the signs you're
likely to walk into if you don't watch out when entering the African jungle city
shop. Who knows if this is what Africa actually looks like, but a jungle it
certainly is: a jungle of Jewlery, fabrics, artwork, ornaments, drums, masks, music,
sculptures, and much, much more. The products here are imported from all over
Africa.
Delicatessen.
Funky fission food
delicatessen turns traditional café fare into a deli treat: bread rolls, hamburgers,
and brunches. Danish dishes are served with fitting pride: the stew with fried egg
and the deep-fried Haring are truly delicacies. The fission food such as steamed
fish with right to sauce isn't exactly bad either. The expression of fission food
may seem a little odd, but you have to admit that it sounds hip... if the name of
the restaurant is familiar, that's because it's. direct reference to the French
called movie delicatessen from 1991, in which a butcher's daughter falls in love
with her cannibal father's next meal.
.Café hackenbusch
Pioneer
a group of young men with a penchant for healthy food, football, kinky designs, and
nocturnal pastries set up Café Hackenbusch in the mid-80s. They obviously had good
business minds, since they've managed to maintain a broad clientele ever since.
Hackenbusch was the first of its kind in vesterbro, and since it was opened, it's
been a good place to eat, drink, and relax. Every hamburger has its own name and
story, and if you asked the deranged waiters for details, a good evening is
guaranteed. Desert tipped: death by chocolate cake.
Café sorte hast
from political riots to quiche Lorraine.
These days sorte hest is a bar, a theater, and a bakery. Not all that long ago in
the mid-80s, it was a squat, subject to regular police raids. The conflict between
the police and the squatters became inflamed and ended in a battle with injuries on
both sides. Café sorte hest is right across the road from the theater and, in
addition to lunches, all meals, bread rolls, and homemade cake, you can also enjoy
exhibitions and live music.

Ideal bar.
Clubbing.
One of the best places in Copenhagen for concerts is Vega. Fans and musicians from
all over the world perform there every week. The ideal bar is on the ground floor
of Vega, where you can enjoy a drink and catch up with your friends. Later on in
the evening, you can dance to salsa, easy listening, our ambient. All of the ideal

The place to be.
Café bang and Jensen used to be a drugstore, and it still has an old-fashioned feel
to it. However, the customers are anything but old-fashioned. This is the place to
be for coffee and great cocktails. Everyone in Copenhagen knows and loves bang and
Jensen. One reason for this popularity may be that you can have brunch until six

cheap hamburger, which goes down nicely with a beer or a soft drink. The café is
two stories high, and you can also get a light meal here. The atmosphere is okay,

Amigo bar.
Bring your friends.
The name used to say at all, though that has all changed. Most gays feel amigo bar
has has deteriorated now that heterosexuals overrun the bar on weekends. On the
other hand, it's a great spot in the heart of Copenhagen: new stars are discovered
while singing karaoke, and the party doesn't stop until six in the morning. Feel
free to bring along friends with prejudices; they will melt away like snow in the
sun.
Cab inn Scandinavia

all rooms at the cab inn Scandinavia have their own shower, phone, TV, and

collections items alongside average music lovers picking up the latest David Bowie
CD or the first REM album.
Frederiksberg antikvariat
a book a day keeps reality away
yes, indeed, this is frederiksberg antikvariats motto. Actually, though, the store
is not dominated by fiction. This antiquarian bookstore specializes in books on
literature literature, art, and philosophy. It is the largest secondhand bookstore
in northern Europe and post a collection of more than a million bucks. And it
doesn't really matter if you can actually read the contents of the box, as they are
so beautifully made, with the leather jackets and gilt lettering. Just dream away...
De vises sten
Stones
walking into De vises sten feels like entering a quarry. Everywhere you look, there
are shelves and tables with crystals, minerals, and fossils of all shapes from all
over the world. If you can't make up your mind with lucky stone pendant or ring you
want, you can take your time. There is a special chair for those pondering their

effect on you.
Café Gugenhaim
Relax
Café gugenhaim is a good lunch option: big plates with the best guacamole, tzatziki,

the room been bugging you for ages? Then you'd better head for hot kotyr. At any

the place is crammed with both regular and unusual lampshades and hanging lamps in
all shapes, sizes, and colors and from every decade of the last century.

alcohol free
this restaurant is a master of disguise. You think you're in a formal, expensive

dishes from the Islamic world. For instance, the very unusual chili fish with

religious beliefs.
Temple bar
never a dull moment
if the bar you're in is getting monotonous, head for Temple bar. Quiz nights are

Osborne
English favorite
Osborne is not usually as busy as the other bars in this neighborhood, so you can

and unusual to say the least! Ulla makes sure that you can combine all of these
glorious items with the Parisian jewelry and handbags also on sale here.
Pussy galore’s flying Circus
blonde bond babes
another sankt hans torv success, this busy café was named after the Bond girl in
Goldfinger. She's not there, though plenty of other young, fashionable girls are.
Boys two. The cuisine is interesting enough to distract you from the trendy crowd:
authentic fashionable London style. For example, filet of beef in prune chutney,
salty sweet salmon with avocado, peppered lime, and fresh spinach. A simpler lunch
courses are also tastefully prepared. And, as befits a modern bar, you can also set
plenty of cocktails here.
Cafeen funke
play that funky music
funke is an excessively hip, and maybe that's what makes it so popular. Live bands

The seller hosts the bar cuda nightclub with its funky DJs: perfect for dancing away
those three courses.
Café under stellet
Under stellet has several meanings in Danish. It depends how you pronounce it, but
it can mean down there, the undercarriage of a car or human body, or under a
bicycle. This can be explained by the bar itself: it's in the basement, so if you
look up, you see the feet of passersby, and as you enter you walk underneath the
bike.

Moreover, they serve up absurd Albanian giraffe beer!, which is not available
anywhere else in town.
Udenbys Klaedebo
white tiles, colorful clothes
it is simply impossible to fail to notice that this fashion boutique was once a
cheese shop. The fact that expensive designer gear has not always been its core
business is given away by the white tiling on the walls and a thick, gray cement
floor. However, despite what you would expect from this type of Interior, the work
of four Danish designers is available here and not just in adult sizes, but for kids
too!
Mayol
shopping for fun
most of the goods for sale in Mayol coming kinky colors. They are also the sort of

for you and your table companions.
Café Grif
if you try all of the different types of beer in Café Grif, you'll probably see a

Germany, Hungary, you name it. White beer is served and large, tall glasses and can
always be seen on one of the atmospheric, candlelit tables. If you want to line
your stomach first, try the addition of the day.
Den Okologiske cafe
Ecological
the ideals of this café and for that matter, the whole neighborhood around it are
beyond question. The principal can easily be summed up: things are simply better if
their homemade and healthy. Here you can get ecological meatballs, fish, soup,
bread rolls, and real Danish s'morerebrod. The café looks like grandmother's
kitchen, with its clear blue tables, fat cushions, and bright green chairs. Fresh
and delectable.
Restaurant Columbus.
Supper and salsa.
This place is a must for salsa fans. You can take salsa lessons and dance to the

however, in which case try the salsa menu: Walnut smoked salmon, tandoori cutlet,
and orange pastry with vanilla cream. Don't forget to reserve a table in advance:
it's always busy here.
Propaganda
read -- Black – fancy
the minimalist black and red interior, with mango wall decorations, gives away the
nationality of the cuisine: Japanese, of course. However, Japanese is not the only

here for an exotic cup of coffee or to dance to the boisterous music, although you
have to wait until 11 for the latter.

students from the University of Copenhagen assistant.
Café Rytme hans
bottled beer
Cafe rytme hans is, first and foremost, the kind of bar you go to in the evening to
catch up with friends while enjoying a couple of beers. If you get there early, you

partygoers tend to stay away. This is a good alternative for the 30 plus age group
to the chic bars in the neighborhood.
Rosetta.
Italian lunch.

quick lunch. The roles are made with fresh Italian bread such as filone and

it's good for you to
this new take away restaurant was a hit from the word go. The couple who runs the
restaurant can usually be spotted behind the counter, kitchen utensils in hand,
ready to fulfill their guests needs. The food is healthy and tasty. Every day,

American pop art was still in its infancy. All sorts of old toys, vintage posters,

those were the days
nostalgia and technology come together here as they never did before. In the

They stalk the radios of yesteryear in all shapes and sizes. It's difficult to
keep cool and collected when seeing all of these oh so familiar relics of times gone
by. Beside radios, oldies radioer og teknik also sells telephones, televisions, and
other technological wonders. The best item, though, is the spy tape recorder for
the budding private detectives among us.
Circus
an extra sausage.
The white tiles and murals give away the original purpose of this building: it was a
butcher shop until 19 away. The last few years, though, the fair has been wine,
beer and fine dinners instead of a half pound of sausage. The cuisine is European
with an obvious Danish accent. A cup of coffee after the meal? Check out the
impressive coffee machine!

beers. Guests are mostly young students, semiserious artists, and the audit expert
looking for that special whiskey to go with his hand rolled cigar. The house
specialty for the ladies is the notorious Green absinth. This drink used to be
known for causing nervous breakdowns! This doesn't bother the customers at kruts
though, who consumed the cream concoction with a great deal of confidence.
La cava
Salud
Cava is a light sparkling Spanish wine. Of course, they sell it here, but what
catches the eye is the collection of Spanish red wines. The store looks like a wine
cellar, too, with its wooden racks, shelves, and boxes filled with bottles. You

built to protect the city in years gone by.

quiet as a volcano
why this extremely quiet bar is named after an Icelandic volcano is a mystery; it's
not exactly billowing clouds of steam. The daily menu is served calmly and with a

Holy smoke
gastronomists gallery
the holy smoke you encounter upon entering this exotic store cum cafe is aromatic,
seductive, and dizzying. The interior has a similarly disorienting effect, as its
absolutely jampacked with foodstuffs, plants, and other decorative knickknacks. The
window display is full of all of us, jars of pickled vegetables, herbs, and bottles
of oil and vinegar. The dish of the day might be poultry cooked with mint and serve
salad and fried banana, and for dessert, we recommend a scoop of homemade French ice
cream: purely natural!
Oven visse vande
tasty aromas
they do a good halibut sandwich year at this bar, but if you're really hungry,

the tourists on board the larger round-trip boats.
